Focus on us...

We are a privately operated organisation that offers services to people with a learning disability in and around Newbury and the surrounding area of West Berkshire.

With a wealth of knowledge gained from over 30 years experience in our field, boundless energy and a passion for what we do we aim to provide the highest quality care and support which focusses on the outcomes each person wishes to achieve and make a positive difference to their lives.

We put our customers in the driving seat and ask them to lead us in the design and planning of their support and how they want it to be delivered. Truly person centred…

It is through our constant desire to improve on our own high standards that we are confident that you will receive the outstanding level of support and care you should expect.

We have an enthusiastic team of trained Learning Disability Personal Assistants who are committed to providing the support you need, in a way you choose, and with the dignity, respect and professionalism you deserve.

Penny is our Registered Manager and we are proud to say that she has worked for us for many years. Here’s a bit about Penny:

"Hello, my name is Penny and I am the Registered Manager of Focus Support. I began my career back in 1990 where I was a Care Officer in a residential home for adults with a learning disability. My career has been shaped and diversified through the many changes within Social Care. I have worked with Focus Support for many years and head up a great team. As a team we strive to ensure our customers get the best out of life and support them to be as independent as possible."

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and are rated as a ‘Good’ provider; we are working hard and aiming for ‘Outstanding’ in our next inspection! Take a look at our most recent inspection report here...

We are members of the Support with Confidence scheme; members of this scheme have been recognised by West Berkshire Council as reliable and safe care providers. You can find out more here.
